• Bacteria • Nitrates • Fluoride • Lead • Hardness • Iron • Total dissolved solids

For a complete list of available tests, call the Lake County Health Department at (847) 377-8020. https://www.lakecountyil.gov/726/Water-Wells

The Lake County Health Department is offering a reduced rate for well water testing kits beginning April 12 through April 23.  The fee for bacterial analysis, normally $18, has been reduced to $14 during this time period.

Water test kits are available at the Village Hall, but we ask that you do not drop by to pick one up as the Village Hall is closed due to Covid-19.  Please contact the Village office by emailing Administrative Assistant Sherry Shlagman: sshlagman@longgroveil.gov or by phoning the office at 847-634-9440 to arrange to pick up a water test kit.

Instructions on how to retrieve a water sample will be attached to the water test bottle,  Also attached will be the Microbiological Analysis Report Form, which should be filled out and dropped off with the water sample. As a reminder, the water test kit must be delivered to the Lake County Central Permit Facility (500 Winchester Road in Libertyville) for processing and fee payment.
